Here at Tamara’s Professional Body Sugaring, we’ve been
doing lots of research and development. You’ll be seeing a few more new products coming
from us soon.
We’re so thrilled to announce that our new organic
fair-trade sugar paste line has the stamp of approval from Fair Trade USA. We’re extremely conscious
that everything we do has a direct impact somewhere – not just on our clients.
We’re constantly trying to make sure that what we do is sustainable and good
for the planet and its people. In fact, we create near zero waste in our
production of our sugar paste.
Therefore, it was natural then for us to pursue a line of
sugar that was the best possible – which meant organic and fair trade.
What does fair trade mean? It means just what the label
suggests – it’s fair. Certified fair
trade on the logo means that people working those resources are justly
compensated. The Fair Trade USA organization makes sure that, in our product’s
case, the sugar farmers in developing countries businesses are sustainable and
are positively influencing their communities. As an added bonus, the incredible
aspect of Fair Trades is that funds are specifically designated for social,
economic and environmental development projects which are determined by each
community. Around the world, sugar cane farmers are some of the most
impoverished in the world as a result of fluctuating prices and difficulty
accessing markets. Fair Trade connects farmers directly to buyers, thereby
improving the lives of the sugar growers, their families, and communities, as
well as their products.
How sweet is that?
We started working on the formula for a paste made from Organic Sugar a year ago. We wanted it to be the best quality – what
you’ve come to expect from Tamara’s Professional Body Sugaring, including
choices. It took us a little bit longer
than expected. However, it was very
worth it. It’s incredible to know that our products are helping farmers in
Paraguay sustainably farm and positively impact their communities.
Our Organic Fair Trade sugaring line is called
PerfectlySmooth, packaged in our signature 35-ounce tub. comes in Ultra Smooth (soft) , Smooth (med soft) and Strong (firm). However, the
tub is transparent so you can see the beautiful rich
caramel color of the organic sugar.
Our PerfectlySmooth Paste™ has the ability to absorb moisture and hold up in warmer conditions without becoming too soft. The reason for this is, organic sugar is unrefined and a much larger grain/molecule. The earthiness and texture of the sugar creates a resilient paste. Acacia gum that you often see in softer pastes like our Signature "Soft" and "Medium Soft" is not needed in our PerfectlySmooth Paste™
paste is beautiful to work with; making it such a win-win because it’s made
from the fairest and best products our world has to offer. We’re so proud to be able to offer this to
our clients and know that people are taking care of themselves with our product
while making the world
